Commercial Decorating

Professional decorating for commercial premises in London and the South East, supported by nationwide delivery capability.

Decorator rolling paint onto the wall of an empty office

Commercial decoration needs to look right, withstand daily use and be completed with minimal disruption. Amida provides planned and reactive decorating for offices, retail units, hospitality venues, schools, healthcare settings, communal areas, warehouses and managed property portfolios.

Every scheme starts with the substrate. Surfaces are assessed for damage, moisture, staining, adhesion and previous coating failure before the most suitable preparation and finishing system is agreed.

Our commercial painting and decorating service supports planned refurbishments, reactive works and occupied premises, with preparation and finishes selected around the building and its day-to-day use.

Internal finishes

  • Preparation, filling, sanding, caulking, stain blocking, mist coating and full redecoration of walls, ceilings, woodwork and metalwork.
  • Durable emulsions, scrubbable coatings, hygienic finishes, anti-mould systems and specialist products for demanding environments.
  • Wallcoverings, feature walls, colour changes, spray application and coordinated finishing after dry lining, joinery or services alterations.

External and protective decoration

  • Masonry coatings, render decoration, soffits, fascias, windows, doors, balustrades and other external building elements.
  • Preparation and protective coating of steelwork, plant-room surfaces, exposed pipework and service areas, subject to specification.
  • Access planning for high-level work using towers, powered access or scaffolding appropriate to the building and task.

A finish built around your operation

Occupied areas can be divided into phases, with low-odour products, dust control and out-of-hours working considered where practical. Protection is applied to floors, fixtures and adjoining finishes, while completed areas are reviewed for coverage, colour consistency, clean lines and snag-free presentation before handover.

Colour schedules, sheen levels and product data can be agreed before full application, with sample areas used where the appearance is sensitive. The specification can also account for frequent cleaning, sunlight, moisture, food preparation, customer contact or other conditions that affect coating durability and future maintenance.

Frequently asked questions

Can you decorate while the building is occupied?

Yes. Occupied areas can be divided into phases, with low-odour products and dust control. Floors, fixtures and adjoining finishes are protected while the work is carried out.

Do you work out of hours?

Out-of-hours working is considered where practical, so decorating can be planned around your opening times.

What preparation do you carry out first?

Every scheme starts with the substrate. Surfaces are assessed for damage, moisture, staining, adhesion and previous coating failure before the preparation and finishing system is agreed.

How do you choose a coating that will last?

The specification accounts for the conditions the surface will face, such as frequent cleaning, sunlight, moisture, food preparation or customer contact. Colour schedules, sheen levels and product data can be agreed before full application, with sample areas where the appearance is sensitive.
