Commercial Flooring

Floor preparation and installation for commercial environments throughout London and the South East, with nationwide rollout support available.

Flooring fitter laying carpet tiles in an empty office

A commercial floor must suit the traffic level, cleaning regime, slip requirements and appearance of the space. Amida installs and replaces flooring for offices, shops, hospitality, education, healthcare, residential common parts, warehouses and other managed buildings.

The service includes the work beneath the visible finish. Subfloors are inspected for movement, contamination, damage and moisture so that preparation, primers, smoothing compounds and adhesives can be matched to the chosen system.

Our commercial flooring contractors provide floor preparation, installation and replacement across a range of commercial environments, with the system selected around traffic, cleaning, safety and appearance requirements.

Floor finishes for every area

  • Carpet tiles, broadloom carpet, luxury vinyl tile, sheet vinyl, safety flooring, rubber and entrance matting systems.
  • Resin coatings and screeds, laminate, engineered timber, ceramic or porcelain tiling and finishes for raised-access floors.
  • Anti-static, slip-resistant, hygienic and heavy-duty options for plant rooms, kitchens, washrooms, circulation routes and specialist workplaces.

Preparation, detailing and repairs

  • Removal of existing coverings, adhesive residues and failed smoothing compounds, followed by cleaning and local substrate repair.
  • Moisture testing, damp-control systems where specified, latex or fibre-reinforced levelling and treatment of joints or cracks.
  • Coved skirtings, welded seams, nosings, trims, thresholds, transition strips and neat interfaces with doors, walls and adjoining finishes.

Phased flooring with less downtime

Installation can be organised by room, floor, department or trading zone. Furniture moves, temporary routes, cure times and return-to-service periods are considered before the programme is agreed. Finished work is checked for adhesion, alignment, joints, transitions and an even visual result.

Samples, plank or tile direction, setting-out points and batch consistency can be reviewed before installation in prominent areas. The proposed finish should also be assessed against wheeled traffic, point loads, acoustic needs, cleaning chemicals, sunlight and replacement strategy so that appearance is not considered in isolation.
