Remediation Works

Specialist commercial remediation across London and the South East, with nationwide support for complex building-defect programmes.

Operatives on a scaffold lift removing cladding panels from a residential block

Defects often cross several parts of a building and cannot be solved by treating the visible symptom alone. Amida delivers targeted remediation for facade, fire-safety, water-ingress and structural problems, bringing investigation, repair and reinstatement into a coordinated scope.

Available surveys, engineer information and previous repair history are reviewed before intrusive work. Trial openings, moisture checks and local investigation can then be used to confirm the true condition and refine the repair method.

Our commercial building remediation service brings investigation, corrective works and reinstatement into one coordinated scope for facade, water-ingress, fire-safety and structural defects.

Facade and water-ingress defects

  • Repairs to cladding interfaces, masonry, render, sealants, movement joints, windows, parapets, balconies and other vulnerable envelope details.
  • Tracing and correcting leaks through roofs, gutters, penetrations, terraces, basements, podiums and junctions between building elements.
  • Replacement of damaged substrates, insulation or internal finishes after the source of water entry has been addressed.

Fire and structural remediation

  • Correction of compartmentation, fire stopping, cavity barriers, fire doors and associated defects identified by survey or opening-up.
  • Concrete, masonry and steel repairs, crack treatment, local strengthening, corrosion-related work and replacement of failed components to an agreed design.
  • Temporary protection or make-safe measures where immediate risk reduction is needed before the permanent scheme proceeds.

Evidence-led repair and reinstatement

Photographs, location references and progress records can be maintained as concealed work develops. Interfaces are inspected before closing up, and repaired areas are reinstated to a suitable finish. This gives stakeholders a clearer account of the defect, the corrective work and the final condition.

A durable repair should address the mechanism of failure as well as the damaged finish. Water paths, movement, corrosion, incompatible materials, missing barriers and weak interfaces are considered when the solution is developed, with specialist design or testing incorporated where the risk and complexity justify it.
