Amida provides fabricated steelwork for new installations, alterations and repairs within commercial and industrial property. The service covers structural and secondary components, from survey and setting out through workshop fabrication, protective finish, delivery and site installation.

Existing dimensions, load paths, connection details, access and lifting constraints are checked before manufacture. Where structural design is required, work is coordinated with suitable engineering information and the wider construction sequence.

Our commercial steel fabrication and installation service covers new structural and secondary steelwork, alterations and remedial works, coordinated with the approved engineering information where required.

Fabrication and new installations

  • Beams, columns, goalpost frames, lintels, trimmers and local structural framing for openings, alterations and strengthening schemes.
  • Plant supports, equipment frames, platforms, gantries, stairs, ladders, handrails, guardrails and service-support steelwork.
  • Bollards, gates, canopies, grilles, barriers, edge protection and bespoke secondary metalwork made to the project requirement.

Remedial and protective works

  • Replacement or strengthening of corroded, damaged or inadequate members, subject to the agreed assessment and repair design.
  • On-site welding, bolted connections, plates, cleats, stiffeners and modifications needed to integrate new and existing elements.
  • Preparation and protective coating systems, galvanised finishes where specified, and coordination of suitable fire protection to steelwork.

Measured, fabricated and installed as one package

Method planning addresses lifting, temporary stability, hot works, exclusion zones and interfaces with walls, roofs and services. Components are checked before dispatch and during installation so connections, levels and final positioning reflect the approved information.

Material grade, section size, connection arrangement, corrosion protection and dimensional tolerances are controlled through the fabrication information. Where steel remains visible, weld appearance and coating finish can be agreed as part of the quality benchmark; where it is concealed, inspection points are planned before surrounding construction closes the work.
