Amida coordinates scaffolding that gives trades safe, practical access while protecting building users and the public. Each arrangement is considered against the work activity, loading, building geometry, ground conditions, duration and restrictions around entrances, roads or neighbouring property.
The proposed scaffold is planned with the principal work package so lifts, boarded areas, loading points and protection are positioned where they will actually be needed.
Our commercial scaffolding service provides temporary access and protection arrangements coordinated around the building, work activity, loading, programme and site constraints.
Commercial access arrangements
- Independent and system scaffolds for facade repairs, decoration, cladding, windows, roofing, steelwork and general building maintenance.
- Birdcages, internal access, towers, stair access, loading bays, roof-edge protection, handrails and temporary working platforms.
- Cantilevered or suspended solutions, gantries, pavement arrangements, crash decks and designed scaffolds where standard configurations are unsuitable.
Protection and specialist requirements
- Temporary roofs, sheeting, debris netting, fans, covered walkways and segregation measures for weather or public protection.
- Access for asbestos-controlled areas or enclosures, coordinated with the specialist method and containment requirements.
- Design information, handover arrangements, inspection, adaptation and dismantling managed to suit the programme and relevant responsibilities.
Access that develops with the works
Scaffold alterations are controlled so unauthorised changes do not compromise the structure. On live sites, entrances, fire routes, deliveries, signage and pedestrian movements remain part of the access plan. Dismantling is sequenced once dependent work and final inspections are complete.
Inspection frequency and responsibility are established in line with the scaffold use and site arrangements, including checks after relevant events or authorised alteration. Loading limits and access restrictions should be communicated to every trade, particularly where materials, hoists, temporary roofs or sheeting can materially change the demands on the structure.
